The pen is such a simple thing,
A simple pen and ink.
A simple object to write down,
The many things you think.
Those things you think rely on
How you feel that very day,
But, if you write down what you feel,
The pain will go away.
That pain was being hid away,
Deep back within your mind.
But, if you let the pain out now,
Your thoughts will be refined.
The pen erases many pains,
With exceptions few.
The pen can inscribe memories,
And forgotten thoughts renew.
The pen is truly thoughts on paper,
As these words I write now are.
So, as you read this, grab a pen.
And write as you know how.
The pen is really much, much more,
Than I can tell or write,
But what it does essentially,
Is make your burdens light.
Your pen is such a simple thing,
A simple pen and ink.
So now, sit down, your pen in hand,
And write,
The thoughts,
