apathy;
The disappointment rushes into my lungs like
A tsunami of brackish water I gasp for air
Too early gales of hatred singe my lungs
I was not made for this ghastly inferno
I must learn to hold my breath so the
Poison in my veins will coalesce into
Sliding tombs of colorless lethargy
And indifference that will not
Bring tears to my eyes when
I have to look back at the
Shore-turned-sewage
Pipes anymore.
