the problem with teenagers;
You say you don’t want to grow up
But you’re obsessed with sex
And you have an ID that says you’re 21
You say you hate people who have bad grammar
But the only grammar rule you know is
The difference between your and you’re
You say you love books
But you only read
What everyone else [skims] reads
You say you care about the shootings
But you only care about the things
That have gone viral on Facebook
You say you don’t want superficial love
But you build up your relationships
On those “Every girl wants ______” images
You say you’re not like everyone else
But you’re exactly like everyone else
You try so hard to be different
That you just end up being the same.
