This world is such a sorry place
Where things always go wrong
The sign to the right
Is never quite as strong
Echoes fall from the wind
Never to be heard again
As screams tear our souls
Reminding us of our sins
Eyes are only meant for watching
The stillness in the air
If we could forget the wounds
In need of repair
The world would be a better place
Where love conquers hate
But this world is such a sorry place
That sends us to our fate
