Void.
there are no words to say to you.
we are each fragments of broken mirrors
of inferred rules and expectations.
we live in a world of lies, they say.
I have emptied myself into letters upon a page,
words hidden deep beneath my memories.
and if you look into my eyes you see a void
a blank pool of water beneath an empty sky.
the stars have all blinked out, o n e b y o n e.
I could fill in the gaps with yellow paint,
vapors sickening me until I believe in them,
or I can find a new path,
maybe my final quest for truth.
but the path of darkness is behind me,
and I see no light ahead.
only winding pathways that lead nowhere
and empty words pungent with thoughts
that you
can't
hear
