In my past life I was the ocean stretching into the distance.

There was a great breath of life in my waters.

But, I at other times was a place of death.

Debris of what used to be lying on my floors.

In my past life I was the soul of the fisherman.

I would go out into the ocean early every day expecting a good catch.

Until the day that I got lost at sea and, the wave came over me like a curtain of death.

In my past life I was the sand of all the beaches on the oceans shore.

I was used by little kids to build sand castles.

In my past life I was the cold waters of the North Atlantic Ocean

that snuffed the life out of the Titanic after it hit an iceberg.

In my past life I was the light emitting from the Cape Hatteras Light house

to guide sailors on the sea at night.

I was moved further inland in 1999 due to erosion.

In my past life I was the sting ray gently gliding through the oceans waters.

In my past life I was the dingy out in the water.

Sea gulls would gather on me to rest their wings.

In my past life I was the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.

I slowly grew.

Then, people started coming to see me.

In my past life I was a Clown Fish living in the protection of an anemone.

Until one day, I was caught and taken to a place called PETCO.

I was eventually bought by a little boy who fed me well.

In my past life I was the sea turtle gently swimming through the water.

I would each year venture ashore and, lay my eggs on the beach.

In my past life I was the oiler coming from the oil rig in the middle of the sea.

I was the container ship sailing from China.

In my past life I was the sea gull gently flying above the oceans waters.

I didn’t have a care in the world.

In my past life I was the ocean, going off into the distance.

This poem is pretty much about my love for the ocean.
