Ode to my dad
Daddy who taught me to listen
to the lovely sound of country music,
Who took me fishing
to catch the biggest fish,
Who gave millions
to the people in need,
Bought us candy
with the last dollars he had,
And had the best dog
a person could ever own!
A daddy's girl, I used to be
As you can plainly see
My daddy was my heart's key
Who unlocked who i used to be!
When he finally left this earth
I think he left with some of me
I stopped doing alot of things,
I grew up in the years
With no man in my life
Which i know affected me greatly,
I listen to his favorite music
And think of him all the time,
I still mourn for him sometimes
wishing he was here
To wipe my tears
And cheer me up
I love you daddy!
A daddy's girl, i used to be
As you can plainly see
My daddy was my heart's key
Who unlocked who I used to be!
