Borrowed feathers cannot fly
Enchanted footsteps do not dance the truth
They dance deception
A minuet of nothing
and lies.
Black is the absence of light
So how can black sparkle?
Borrowed black feathers make the light dance—
another lie.
Black swan song:
A falsehood crying to the setting sun
that “I am nothing! Let me be!”
No light no color somehow sparkling
Borrowed dance shoes stepping forward
Leaping into the truth—dying to fly
Black swan dying
Black swan gone
Black swan song
