I am a contradiction to the world
The sun above bright, and black.
The water that flows so smooth and dry.
I am a contradiction to the world,
Miss understood, hated, but loved.
I look up and see the grown,
i go under water and breath.
I am me, not you
my shoe would not fit your foot,
my life might scare you,
while you run to the light I bask in the dark,
Waiting for dream to take hold.
I have my own song I sing every day,
you may not like it, but I don’t care.
You sing someone else’s song.
Your instinct to imitate,
mine to overwrite.
I am me, and I am trapped by my freedom.
