They told you to change
did they know you'd add up?
like pennies in their pockets
they think you're weighing them down
taking up space
you're not worth that much
I'm trying to collect you
pick you up off the ground
you're not making it easy
like you don't want to be found
I feel like a stranger who wound
up with you and it's my lucky day
I'll make a wish on you
but I'll never throw you away
I know you'll add up one day
be able to afford
to pay them back
