Because
I can't hear your words
when you're plugged
into some other life
I don't feel your voice
when it's using
someone else's air
You're not in my world
you're in theirs
And I won't stand for it no more
Rip out your eardrums!
Peel open your eyelids!
I'm screaming.
But you won't listen
when you light the street lamps of
someone else's world
