When we speak,
do we even make a sound?
When we move,
do we ever actually get anywhere?
When we cry out,
does anyone ever hear?

Standing so still,
but moving all around.
Surrounded by friends
but feeling so alone.
Wanting to run
but unable to break free.

Of the spell of my lips.
I cast you up.
Up in the air so high that you
scream and beg for my mercy.
you fly higher and higher
watching the world pass by underneath.
As you fly you try to speak.
But all I see, is lips moving.
Making no sound.

When you speak,
You never make a sound.
When you move,
you never actually get anywhere.
When you cry out,
I never hear.....
