I’m back where I started
Sickled

Burning sulfur

Charred skin and bones
After an episode of starvation
I gaze upon

An egg
A galaxy
Lazily drifting through a continuum

That I,
Myself,

Created after I burned African villages to the ground and built up again
With
Sickles and burning sulfur and resistance to Malaria but susceptibility to thin air
Lacking in African villages

I am back to day zero

Eggless
Homeless
Watching galaxies drift by that I, myself, have destroyed and recreated

And burnt down again and again and again

For pleasure
For boredom

Dripping galaxies
Sickled, by a cell to a mosquito, carried across mutations and resistance,
To bow down to

Me, creator of malaria, cackling at the entire situation.
