My Dreams
Every night I dream
And every night I dream about you.
The way you left brought me to tears.
You didn’t deserve this, you were too young to go.
I dream about you and me.
We’re playing shuffle board and building sand castles at the campground.
We’re eating Swedish Fish and Smores by the campfire.
We’re playing cards, mostly War, Because that was your favorite.
I see your smile.
The same one you always wore.
I miss you and your smiles.
I miss the way you called me Missy.
I even miss when you called me Brat.
Why’d you have to go?
I hope God is being good to you.
I miss you Mom-Mom.
I always will.
