Nonsensical, the Philosophical
Is life just a dream, a fish in the net
Ignore the beam and remove the speck
If you're not risking death, then you're not really living
Is the glass half full if it's tipped over spilling
A penny saved is a penny earned,
But a dime well-spent is ten pennies burnt
So if you desire your life to have meaning,
Delve deeper, my dear, into philosophical teachings
If a tree falls with no one around,
How do we know if it made a sound
And likewise consider sacrifice untold
Does it make an impact or fail to unfold
So pray in the streets and not in your closet
If you wish to be known and make a profit
So if you desire your life to have meaning,
Delve deeper, my dear, into philosophical teachings
'Tis all just a lie, a game of semantics
Scrambling words to change a sentence
They tend to be vague and ambiguous
The meanings interpreted various
As a single cloud lacks definite shape
Yet appears to one as maybe an ape
And to another a fox in the glen,
So is the reasoning of imperfect men
So if you desire your life to have meaning,
Pay no heed, my dear, to philosophical teachings
