Simple Reconciliation
I thought for sure we were done.
But upon return,
You walked.
I can't shake the days I spent
Fearing you'd take
The other hall.
I spent my day
Dreading the part we spent
Together,
By the end of it all
I am content.
But I will not bow to this again.
The torment,
The silence,
Haunts me still.
I'll keep it from happening again.
I promise.
I love you.
