This is it.
These last words drip with spite.
One thousand chances to redeem yourself,
Ten thousand reasons to give up on you.
I had faith in you,
The key word being, had.
The waves of reality took me under.
My open eyes remember.
The Past.
The Present.
The Future.
A rhyme in your honor, mommy dearest.

Liar, liar, plants on fire.
Down the hatch! The bottle pours
She breathes it in, getting higher.
A gallon later, she still wants more.
Swing again, make me scream.
Show how much you love me.
With my blood and tears it seems,
I am entombed to this red sea…

I figured.

One last chance,
I regretfully gave.
My last hope,
Became betrayal, again.
No more, I must move on.

These last words drip with spite.
One thousand chances to redeem yourself,
Ten thousand reasons to give up on you.
I have given up on you.
This is it.

The author's comments:
My mother has ruined my childhood, most of my teenage life, and now that I am closing in on the age of adulthood, I have decided to completely give up on her. I have tried for years to have her actually love me as a son, but she is too mentally ill, and dependant on drugs and alcohol to be able to do such a task. Time to move on.

I am truly sorry for the circumstances that led you to write this. You have a talent and I hope it will bring you a future much brighter than your past.

I loved the beginning, the middle and the end.

Good luck and keep writing:)
