"The Love That Burns"
Holding on to love is like washing your face with fire; it burns you with a tormenting sorrow; visible in an occasional frown, and in those palpable tears of anguish.
I don't want to love her.
I try and plead not to love her.
But my endeavors are all to no avail.
I know I blew my chance but, not having her only strengthens my natural attraction to her.
This Love is like a taunting breeze;
moreover this is love that burns the innocent seas.
Truly, the most heartbreaking aspect of falling love is knowing that my love is not in love with me.
