Roses
Red and full
Petal wrapped around petal promising forever love
A thick green stem with thorns that threaten
Soft green petals with jagged edges
If you hold enough love and care in your heart they promise not to hurt you
If you pick them as a trick you are sure to walk away
Bleeding the color of roses
Their engrossing smell will haunt you
Though bittersweet, it will not leave you
Roses
Red and full

Hold enough love in your heart and you shall be rewarded
Hold too much hate and you will walk away
Bleeding the color of roses

Roses are the flower of love. They have a meaning to them that many people never see. Those thorns are there for a reason.

I really like this one. I also love the figurative form of it. The imagery is astounding. I shall now move on to the next of your poems.
