Sanctimonious Cenote
The water tumultuously trickles
Down the cracks and crevices,
As the spirits, intertwined with the water,
Struggle against the universe,
Exploding into dissipating mist,
As they clash with lifeless rock,
While climbing out of the cenote.
Cast away by their people,
The Maya are mocked by the flora draping their prison.
I plunge into their plight,
The cool refreshment overcomes me,
Chaos becoming harmony,
As my escape is theirs.
