a cacophony of birdsong
echoes and glitters
on the aerial leaves
that hang like arms
above the mossy earth.
the forest is an artist
shimmering with rain
dancing beneath the thralls of clouds
flocking like so many hummingbirds
parakeets, and plumed aracaris.
somehow it seems
that the canopy of the human race
is hidden with grey, grey, grey
belching fear of idiosyncrasy
hiding from the truth.
