How Could You
How could you?
How could you hurt me?
How could you take everything I ever wanted?
How could you take away my happiness?
Everything was finally starting to fit together,
And like a puzzle,
You threw the pieces,
Forcing me to lose it all…
How could you destroy my faith,
And tear down my confidence?
How could you rip my heart out as if it was nothing…?
He was perfectly imperfect and I loved it,
And you grabbed him by the jaw.
I thought I could be happy,
I thought maybe for once,
Just once,
Things could go right.
I let my guard down…
How could you hurt me like that?
