Favorite Quote:
"Some people like to call me cocky or arrogant, but I just think: how dare you assume I should think less of myself?" - Ronda Rousey

If you ate me alive that would be okay
I could be engulfed by all the shades of grey
That surround my mind, the shades that eat me alive

And you can say we've never played this game before
But we've played it yesterday, tomorrow, and long, long ago

You can say I'm right, give me a star and a crown
You can say I'm nothing, not worth a sound
But I know who you are, you've left so many scars
And where is my God when I feel like I've drowned?

I played the game as it's always been played
A sick cycle carousel when you call my name
But the one time I tried to leave the game, you tried to rip me in half
I don't think I'll be spotless in this aftermath
So again we play

The author's comments:
the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome. it's a sick cycle carousel that i believe we're all stuck on. to each his own struggle, yes, but we're all still in the same battlefield. --but that's only half my point in this poem.
