plethora of colors
you look at them with
a swift glance,
like everyone else
and walk away too
but
in a wave of fate,
of chance
of destiny?
you come back,
interlace out fingers
our destiny?
glance at my hand
you see all the scars
and ask the question I never thought
you would:
“really”
“how many more?”
I look up at you
with tears streaming, saying
“what did you think all the bracelets were for?”
