One Without the Other

Love without pain,
Is like an assassin without aim.
Like a cake without layers.
And a church without prayers.
It would be too easy,
So simple, to have one without the other.
Like a father and no mother,
It would seemingly be impossible.
So to love you must experience Pain, Emotions, and Strife.
It's the only way to endure life.
Because love without pain, has no gain.
