Deep Down
My love for you runs so deep inside me
But deep down I know, secretly, you'll never love me again.
We were once so close like best friends
But now we can't even look each other in the eyes,
For our shame is so strong.
I still to this day love you with all my heart
But deep down I know, your heart belongs to someone else now.
Towards the end I saw the look in your eyes
You had someone else on your mind.
I can't help but think, deep down
When you kissed me, was she the one you saw?
Was she the one your eyes shined for at night?
To this day I can still feel the sensation of your hands on my body,
But those are only memories,
And memories are the only thing still keeping me alive.
