Crisp air and dead leaves

Heavy breaths and chapped skin

Flying tears and clenched fists

Soft dashes with a quick pace

My legs are heavy,

but I run with my unsatisfied heart

My mind is playing games

Leaving me with a temporary high

The universe and I as one

Repetitive counting from one to a hundred

Synchronizes with my breaths

The tapping of my feet propel

Till my heart has its way

And the measures get longer

Until my pace is cut off
