Hope grows slowly
Like a newly sown seed
You can't tell yet but
It's starting to bud
Just a little longer
And it will break through
Despite the siren calls
Saying it already has failed
Despite how many times
Hope's been trampled on
Despite the layers of dirt pressing
It down, trying to keep
Hope hidden away
But it won't take anymore
Hope's patience with darkness
Is finally worn out
The time has come
To break free
To surrender to the light
Hope grows slowly
