gettin ready

as i get ready for the big night my hands start to shake, my knees start to wobble, and then i hear your voice. i hear you call me out, soothing and calm. you say"you can do it, i'll be there for you. just close your eyes and you'll see me there. i love you, and never forget that i care". as soon as you say it my nerves start to calm. i close my eyes, and i see my mom. "i love you to" i say with pride in my heart, because i know shes where it all starts.
