Ode to Dreamer
Sleep takes a dreamer into space,
Riding on a pillow-top space ship
As if it were a cotton cloud shooting
Through the atmosphere.
All of the glistening stars,
Swirling galaxies,
And cruising comets
Whir past the determined traveller
On the dream's journey
To find the Zs in the foreign lands
Of one of the many distant worlds.
They will patiently await their adventurer's visit
For with his Cloak of Cotton,
Said to drive away even the most vile of creatures,
The Zs will finally be saved
From the beast called Nightmare
By the hero they call Dreamer.
