For you, Dad.
You’ve helped me through the thick and thin,
you’ve watched me grow from small to tall.
Even though you always tell me what to do;
“Pull your pants up.” “Clear the table.”
The best father I know is you.
The days we fight seem so long,
It doesn’t even matter who is wrong.
I don’t think you know it,
because I have a funny way of showing it.
But I love you more than you know.
And I wrote this poem to show.
You are my inspiration-
everything you’ve done, your hard work and dedication,
is unbelievable from where you’ve come.
I am young.
I have a life ahead of me,
and I hope you know
who you are
is who I’m going to be.
Strong, honest, and caring,
sometimes a little overbearing,
but I know you’re just being the best dad you can be.
Thank you Dad for everything you’ve done,
out of all the dads in the world,
YOU are the very best one.
