A short story is like a quick kiss in the dark from a stranger. (Stephen King)

Why do we only see the bad of life?
I believe that it is only the hell of not being with God that causes our grief.
With every passing day we fall further and further from grace.
When will our time to rise come?
When will we finally climb out of this pit we dig,
this devil’s nest of sin and deceit we have created.
What will it be like to be taken back
No more worries
No more sorrow
No more hatred
What more do you want to lose?
In this life we are given choices,
None lift us unless we give effort
Some keep us level
Others drop us further into the pit.
When we are on the edge of the abyss what will we say?
How will we beg?
Where will we end up?
How will he judge us?
In our minds we are all guilty
We are all evil
We are all unworthy
Why do we continue digging?
When we should be helping fill in each other’s pit with the fresh soil of redemption and love.
