Word Scars
I look in the mirror and what do I see?
A girl full of scars.
Not physical ones,
But scars that other people given to me.
Word scars.
Those are the worst of all.
I've never harmed a single soul.
Yet the same kids every time,
Continue to make my life even worse.
Revolting comments, and vulgar looks,
That’s my everyday life.
I never knew why they hated me so much
But now it’s becoming clearer,
Because I’m beginning to hate myself, too.
