A suspense so aggravating
Can't eat
Can't sleep
Staring down the clock
As seconds
Slow, slow seconds
Tick by
Seconds turn to minutes
Slow, slow minutes
And finally
After your brain
Nearly melts
And flows out your ears
From the wait
It arrives
And the clock is forgotten
The seconds still go on
But faster this time
Until time seems to stop
And the wait
Begins again.

The author's comments:
I can't stand waiting. Although I am normally very patient, some things I can't handle. Especially when I'm excited about them.

Wow great job! Time felt like it slowed down when I read this! Reminded me of waiting for my Spanish class to get out!
