Everything filled with war and strife
Doused in tears of pain shed
Yougsters pleading for their life
Hopelessness in every footstep tread
Families torn and broken
Hearts hardened and cold
Stumbling over apologies unspoken
Tripping on truths left untold
Elders weep for the youth they mould
Hoping, praying, unaware
Young ones cursing at the old
Hearts filled with hate and despair
Stories of when our world was pure
Before anguish and loss took its place
Some still search for the cure
But doubt is etched in every face
