Eyes like coals
Burning with malice
Heart like stone
Beating for no one but itself
The cruel claws of greed
Snatch away love
The angry talons of hate
Murder the innocent
When peace settles
Tension is still burning
It’s sad how
Hate and greed overpower peace
Friends turn backs on friends
Parents turn backs on children
War rises in a deadly storm
As peace tries to shine through
My heart aches as I watch
The world I love so much
Slowly being ripped apart by our worst enemy
Hate
