Sad Little Liar

You lie.
Why do you act?
Everyday you put a smile on your face.
Only I know it's not true
You hurt
Your hot tears
burn holes in your cheeks
where they fall and settle
on what once was a smile.
The taste of tears
has stained your tongue.
New tears will come
with new reasons to cry.
In your head
is blood and death and everything sad
when all you really want
is a reason to be happy.
