Call me shallow, but....
If your family steals you away
To a faraway land,
Where your dad can get work,
Your sisters can breathe fresh clean air,
And your madre can make a home all her own;
I don't think we are going to last.
I love you for who you are,
But there are other
Tall, handsome, and brilliant guys in the world
Who live less than 5 hours away.
More than your mind,
I love you arm around my waist,
You dragging me through barren hallways,
Warming my icy hands hands after two straight periods of chemistry,
Hugging my sorrows away,
And kissing me as if you have more emotion
Spilling out of your body
Than me.
Darling, without your touch
Showing me how much you care,
I will go off in search of another.
You can call me shallow,
But 347 miles away,
I cannot hear you.
