&quot;Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.&quot; <br /> &ndash; Mother Teresa

She comes home
Hair tied up
Glasses instead of contacts
Make-up washed away
Tight clothing removed
Sweats pulled on
Heels kicked off
Now unrecognizable
Headphones blaring
Pen scrawling across a journal
Tears slipping down her face
As she tries to hold herself together
Alone
She allows her true self to show
For the first time today

We wouldn&#039;t ask a rose that grew from the concrete for having damaged petals; in turn we&#039;d all celebrate its tenacity, we&#039;d all love tz will to reach the sun well we are the roses n these are my damaged petals don&#039;t ask me why thank God and ask me how

There's so much truth in this poem and that's basically why I like it. Keep posting :) p.s i love what you said in your description- perfection truly is only skin-deep :)
