Near The Door of a Home
After Yehuda Amichai
Near the door of a home painted
To look like sky,
I witnessed flashbacks of memories.
A sleepless night that frightens others
Sent me hummingbirds
Flying gracefully from tree to tree.
And he who is lost like a child
Will be found by a mother
And brought back home again.
Love is not a dead end: there will always be
More paths branching off, ready to be followed.
The whole length of a single road
That has no end.
