The Change
Once in a while,
I stop.
I drop all I’m doing and wait.
I wait for something to happen,
For feelings to immerge,
For changes to happen.
But they never do.
I have to get up
And make that change myself.
The change happens with time,
With effort.
I can’t just sit and wait for something to happen.
I want to,
But change doesn’t happen that way.
I have to get up
And cause the change.
Why?
Because that’s the way the world works.
You can’t just expect the world
To do everything for you.
It’s your thought,
Your responsibility.
It’s up to you
It’s up to me
It’s up to everyone in this world
To spark a change.
So when you stop
And wait for something to happen
For changes to happen,
They won’t.
You have to get up,
And make that change yourself.
