A Hero?
I wanted you
to understand
the thing we had
would never mend
It happened fast
it happened slow
until finally implodded on
you and me
can’t you see
that we were never meant
to start again
You had that smile
born in an ageless time
where only you could understand
It showed it’s face
once again
until only then
could I see
the venom
behind
I couldn’t see
the simple
fact
behind a portal
lay a landscape full
of mortals
dying in battle
I wanted you
to understand
the thing we had
would never mend
I screamed at you
the face made of glass
to stop being the hero
of the masses
But you never listened
You never listened
I wanted you
to understand
the thing we had
would never mend
The sword and shield
had consumed
you, the hero
