Acorns
The beauty of a full choir felt in a fall day,
Every red and gold leaf a singer in the chorus.
Like the birds overhead, my heart longs to fly,
As the ground beneath my feet, I feel I could never die.
Give me a song, any song and I’ll sing it.
All of nature has a song, they’ve asked the wind to bring it.
They’ll take it up, make it up, raise it up high,
Every stanza will ring true, since nature cannot lie.
Their song will sound out like the bells that ever peal.
I will hear them singing, I’ll hear them and I’ll feel,
The beauty of a full choir felt in a fall day,
And every single leaf will be singing in the chorus.
