We sit here watching

laying, staying

people come

their ventures fleeting

dead but staying, ever staying

we watch them dieing

we who are etched by the

storms, the wind,

the time spent.

looking on the mountains high

our branches sing our lullaby

of our sorrowful ways

throughout our immortal days
