"I read to escape, I write to confront."

suddenly-
it was light and
how could there have ever been dark?
the darkness
faded away- blinded
slithered back into their godforsaken hellholes
-created for the walking skeletons
who carried on

the darkness-
melted into the shadows
momentarily forgotten
but night
a perveresed night
forever haunts the outskirts
of the joy of that day

The author's comments:
This is about the Holocaust. And the day the Allied soldiers came to the concentration camps and rescued the people who had been through so much they were barely people.
