Goodbye
You'd think that 13 years would leave a mark—
You'd think that my whole life would have made a difference—
You'd think that home would stay home, no matter
what
happens.
Well you were wrong.
Turns out a life of memories can vanish with
some trimming, some paint, and a bit of new carpet.
Life is packed up—
shipped off—
moved on—
and lingering doesn't help
anyone.
And yet who's still standing here?
Staring at blank walls that use to be a
sanctuary.
Walls that knew more about me than
anyone
else.
But now they’ve been brainwashed with whitewash.
Ready to share someone else's secrets—
Someone else's life.
Not mine.
Not
Anymore.
An ocean of meaning: hurt and love contained in just two words:
Good Bye.
good bye good bye good bye the echoes seem to
whisper
