The Forgotten Garden
The swift wind runs by
Ruffling leaves on the trees
As it brings lift to the birds
And rattles the golden chime keys
The grass blades dance
Moving to no song
And the empty swing sways
Moving finally after so long
The children’s laughter has gone
No longer heard here
They’ve all gone away
Sprang away like spring deer
The flowers’ petals are dying
Each stained with tears
Time has passed them quickly
And now their cries reach no ears
