Just My Luck
This is just my luck.
My awful, nothing-goes-right luck.
No matter how hard I try
To avoid the bad things,
The evil things,
The things that will surely bring me down.
They always seem to find me.
It's practically inevitable.
This is just my luck.
I'm tired of looking for horseshoes
Or rabbit's feet,
Or four-leaved clovers
I haven't broken a mirror
Or walked underneath a ladder
Or seen a black cat
And yet…
Trouble always seems to find me.
This is just my luck.
I run, I hide
I try to shield myself
I cry myself to sleep
I opt to punch a pillow
Instead of a wall
A wall,
Instead of a person
A person, instead of myself
I'm on the path of destruction
This is just my luck.
