Nothing left
My stomach twists
My blood boils
My fist clench
At the site of you
Stumbling into the room
Slurring every word
And I know
The drink has taken over once again
I don’t understand
How you can look at yourself
Without the disgust
Without the rage
Without the embarassment
I feel every time you drink
That vial drink
It kills,
It destroys the mind
And the soul
Yet you continue
Down that spiraling road
Until one day
Nothing will be left
Of the man I once knew
Of the father I once loved
Of the hero I once saw
Nothing left of you.
