He Thinks
He thinks I do not hear him cry at night.
He thinks I do not see his slouch and frown.
He thinks I do not care about his life.
He thinks I do not love him with my heart.
He thinks I do not wish to see him smile.
But I always hear, see, care about him.
And I will always love and wish for him.
He thinks I do not want to be near him.
He thinks I do not like to talk to him.
He thinks I do not long to comfort him.
He thinks I do not pray he’ll get better.
He thinks I do not hope he’ll let me help.
But I always want, like and long for him.
And I always pray, and I always hope.
